Renee Delgado is a Moorpark City Councilmember, local business owner, real estate broker, and community advocate who believes local government works best when it listens, collaborates, and focuses on practical results.
Her community leadership includes service on the Board of Directors of the Moorpark Chamber of Commerce, as a Ventura County Animal Services Commissioner, and on the Board of Directors of the Economic Development Collaborative. Renee speaks Spanish and is committed to making City Hall more accessible to every resident.

District 1 is shown in pink on the map and includes Moorpark Highlands, Campus Park, Varsity Park Estates, Campus Hills, the College Area, and Via Del Arroyo Mobile Home Park. Although Renee is elected by District 1 residents, every vote she casts on the City Council affects all of Moorpark. Her responsibility is to advocate for District 1 concerns while considering the long-term well-being of the entire city.
These highlights reflect work undertaken by the City and City Council during Renee's term, which began in December 2022. The City Council is a collective governing body — these achievements reflect many people working together to serve Moorpark residents.
Construction is underway on a state-of-the-art Moorpark City Library that will more than double the current facility. Alongside it: the Princeton Avenue Improvement Project, a five-year pavement rehabilitation plan, and major High Street improvements.
Construction is underway on the Inclusive Playground at Tierra Rejada Park, where children of all abilities can play together — plus renovated sports fields at Campus Canyon and Arroyo Vista, LED lighting conversions, and expanded recreation access.
Recognized as the #4 Safest City in California in 2026. A tri-city emergency evacuation awareness plan adopted, a Downtown Liaison Deputy added, and expanded wildfire preparedness, CERT training, and public-safety outreach.
Moorpark's first five-year Economic Development Strategic Plan adopted, $250,000 secured for Downtown Specific Plan work, High Street Depot advanced, and a High Street Entertainment Zone approved.
